Garo's picture on the beach My name is Anurag Garg though I am also known as Garo. I am a Research Fellow in the Distributed Systems Group (DSG) in the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College, Dublin. I was a Marie Curie Incoming International Fellow at DSG from 2006 to 2008.

I was a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Computer Science and Telecommunication at the University of Trento from April 2004 to September 2006 (and appointed as an Assistant Professor thereafter). I worked in the (LION lab http://intelligent-optimization.org/) led by Prof. Roberto Battiti.

I did my graduate work in computer science at the Computer Science Department at the University of California, Los Angeles where I received my doctoral degree in 2003. My advisor was Professor Leonard Kleinrock, one of the founding fathers of the Internet.

I am from New Delhi, India where I did my schooling at Delhi Public School, R. K. Puram (Class of '92), and received my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi(Class of '96).
